I hope I’m not bothering you
But will you answer me one thing?
What is it like to be a grown-up?
To change in an eye’s blink?
To act all subtle and polite
And never cry or whine
To answer every “How are you?”
With “Oh, I am doing fine.”
To pretend that you don’t care,
When you actually do!
To have all in the name of colors,
The dull grey days and the Monday blues.
Tell me is it fun?
To play a learned guy?
That now the stars you used to wish upon
Are just Celestial Bodies in the sky.
